audio

here are some links to some interesting audio slideshows:

http://www.carolinaphotojournalism.org:16080/cpjw/2007/

click on stories at the upper left and then i recommend ... "A New Future/Lennie Edwards" or "Goats"; this site is nice b/c each story has an icon so you know if it is video, audio or photo only - the video of a kid and his goat is so fun to watch, too. i have been having trouble with their site over the past 24 hours, so hopefully it will be up and running soon.

they have a lot of interesting audio slideshows from the year before as well:
http://www.carolinaphotojournalism.org:16080/cpjw/2006/

the tribune also has some interesting audio slide shows
http://www.columbiatribune.com/Photo/multimedia.asp
i particularly like Chess Competition and Canine Competition towards the bottom

the cpoy and poyi sites have good references for multimedia winners, too - and if you havent seen soul of athens, which won in both competitions, check it out!
http://soulofathens.com/

and in particular, a brilliant use of photo and video, and a cpoy winner, jenny's story.
you can link to this from the soul of athens site or the cpoy winners gallery, but since there is no flash player on this campus computer, i cant get to the link right now.

i (heart) hatch

so, my 36 hours in nashville was so much fun. i have been obsessed with hatch show print for many years and to actually walk in through their doors was amazing. the country music hall of fame was also amazing, and even more so because the posters and signs were all done by hatch! this photo is a balancing photo, there are a few fill below in my outtakes, but those didn't go as well. plus, one of the women who works at hatch (in the photo pulling out the sandwich board) just happens to be from portland - brilliant!
